I find myself running out of time. In the morning, I am in a
rush to make it to Llyod Nobel bus stop on time, get to class on time, finish
my reading to on time, and turn my homework in time. Time seems like my enemy. This
battle of Time vs. Anu been going on for a long time. Time tends to win most of
the time. I think it’s time for Anu to win against time. Sleeping in is love of
my life. However it is the weakness that always makes me loose to Time. I am planning
on taking on the challenge to wake up at 6 o clock and finish up my classwork
by eight o clock every day from today onward.

Anu I can really relate to your struggle as well. I love sleeping too. I am not a morning person so I find it tough to wake up on time, catch the bus at Lloyd, and make it to class on time. It is great that you are taking on that challenge. I know if it was me, I could never get up at 6 in the morning. I hope you reach your goal of waking up early and beating time this year!
ReplyDeleteI think time management is the biggest problem every college student has. We all want to balance Our social, student, work, and family lives and sometimes we have to sacrifice one for the other. Waking up at earlier to get school work done is a great idea. I would hate waking up at 6am just to do homework. Good Luck! You can do it

ReplyDeleteAnu, this is the story of my life, as well! Mornings are always a rush for me and I'm usually late to everywhere I go- not something I am proud of. I have always said twenty-four hours is not enough time in a day! But I think we both need to learn to set our priorities straight in order for us to use our time wisely and balance everything out in our lives. I have no idea how you can wake up that early in the morning, but power to you! Good luck, I'm so proud of you for challenging yourself!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a BEAUTIFUL image, Anu, and I know just what you mean about the battle with time: I bet if you asked every single student and every single professor if they are short of time, every single staff person at OU, they would all say it is a huge problem... lack of time might even be the biggest obstacle we face. Oh look, the other comments here at your post confirms exactly that!
ReplyDeleteAnd here's the thing about growth mindset and time: it really does take TIME to grow, to experiment, to learn... and sleep is part of that too; it's almost like our brains actually need sleep in order to grow, absorbing all the things that happened during the day so that we can be ready for the next day.
So if you find some good time management tricks this semester, please share them here, and then I can share them around with the class. I participate at the blogs totally randomly (if only I had more... time!!!), but I try to read the growth mindset posts so if you share some more about the battle of Anu with Time here, I will read that and be cheering you onwards!
Happy Friday!!!
